Allen and Sarah Rostam, a husband and wife team, started the Motor City Carpet and Flooring company in 1995, and have seen their business improve greatly as the years have gone by. Allen Rostam has had much experience in helping improve apartment homes. Mr. Rostam started painting apartments, and worked his way forward to installing carpet in those types of homes. An accomplished U of M graduate, Behrooz Bruce, left engineering in 2003 to come and work with Allen and Sarah. Mr. Bruce eventually took over as head of Motor City Carpet and Flooring, and has continued with the same hard working spirit.
The company has progressed from installing carpet in only apartments, to installing all types of flooring. Motor City Carpet and Flooring now installs carpet, hardwood, ceramic, sand and finish flooring. The company is now open to the public, and have expanded to a warehouse that is well over 25,000 sq. ft. Motor City Carpet and Flooring offers flooring to businesses as well as residential customers, and have a well represented sales force reaching out to potential customers.
Motor City Carpet and Flooring specializes in insured emergency work, and offers customers next day installation. We keep over three million dollars of inventory in stock, and we carry all of the top brand names so our customers can get exactly what it is they want. Motor City Carpet and Flooring has a showroom open to the public instead of retail outlets. We even have a mobile showroom, equipped with products of the customer’s choice, for those who are unable to come to the public showroom. Because we have only a public warehouse and sales team, we can pass the savings of having no retail outlets on to our customers.
